The role of the Finance Committee as defined in Chapter 39, Section 16 of the Massachusetts General Laws is:  the major function and responsibility of a Finance Committee is to "....consider any or all municipal questions for the purpose of making reports or recommendations to the Town."

The Lakeville Finance Committee is not limited solely to budgetary considerations, but also deals with financial management, financial policy and financial planning.  Meetings are on an "as needed basis".  All meetings are posted in the Town Office Building.
